Class of 1978
Steve Suddarth graduated from the Air Force Academy and is
currently stationed in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He is a Colonel working as
a liaison between the Strategic Air Command and the Department of Energy at the
Energy Laboratories. He is married and has two children, Mary 12 and
Samuel 8.
Class of 1980
My twin brother, Jeff Arnold, and I are both currently serving in the
National
Guard. He is a Captain of Artillery currently on active duty in Newport,
IN. He is completing a two year stateside tour as part of operation Noble
Eagle. After High School, he served on active duty in the U.S. Navy and
several years in the Kentucky National Guard as a military policeman where
he was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for operation Desert Storm. He
now serves in the 152nd Artillery with the Indiana National Guard. He has
served for more than 20 years.
I am Command Sergeant Major of the 1BN/133rd Infantry, Iowa National Guard.
I served three years of active duty with the 82nd airborne division and I
have served in the National Guards of Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, and
Iowa. Since 9/11, I have graduated from the U.S. Army's Ranger school and
deployed to the Sinai Peninsula for operation Enduring Freedom. I will
have completed 20 years of service in November of this year.
Thanks for compiling this info. I wish I knew more about others, but I
have moved around quite a bit...
Joel Arnold
Class of 1981
With 16 years of service, Lonnie Gillespie, is currently serving as an E-8/First Sergeant in the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron with the Air Force Reserve based in Minneapolis, MN. Lonnie works for Northwest Airlines and can be reached at lonnie.gillespie@nwa.com
Class of 1983

Class of 1988
Cecelia Becker is currently serving in the U.S. Army and is stationed in
Ft. Myer, VA. She is a member of the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.
She has served for 18 years and her rank is SFC. She is married and just
gave birth to twin girls in January. She can be reached at

Class of 1991
William Fields joined the Marines after HHS and is currently serving on
active duty as an Army National Guard Recruiter. William is married and the
couple has one child.
Class of 1993
Melanie (Olson) Carrasco joined the Army shortly after leaving HHS. She was promoted to Sergeant First Class in January of 2007. Melanie is now serving as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Gordon, Georgia. She is married and has two children. Melanie hopes to return to West Lafayette when sees retires from the Army. She is looking forward to the relaxation of mid-western life. Class of 1994
Dusty Sulfridge is a member of the Indiana Army National
Guard. He serves with a medical unit. He has recently returned from
a year long tour of duty in Iraq.
With ten years of service, Brooke (Mitchell) O'Dea is currently
serving as an E6 in the Air National Guard. After 9/11, she served in
"Operation Enduring Freedom" and "Operation Iraqi Freedom". She is
stationed at Channel Islands, California. Request contact information

Class of 1995
John Goodrich graduated from West Point in 1999 and reported to
flight school in Alabama where he learned to fly the AH-64A Apache
helicopter. In 2001, he was assigned to Germany and deployed to
Baghdad in 2003. Upon returning from Iraq, he was stationed in Savannah, Georgia
and then deployed to Iraq again in 2005. He currently holds the rank of
Captain.
He will leave the Army in May and is scheduled to begin classes at Purdue to
work toward an MBA. He can be reached at

John Pierret was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the
Marine Corps
after graduating from the Marine Corps' Officer Candidates School and Purdue
University in
Management. After spending a year in training - 6 months as a Rifle
Platoon Commander and
6 months as a Communications Officer in Quantico, VA - John was given orders to
be stationed
in Miramar, CA. He subsequently deployed in February of 2003 and led a
communications detachment
into combat in March during the Iraq War. He has since attainted the rank
of Captain and has
left active duty, but still serves in the Inactive Ready Reserve. He
currently resides in the
San Diego, CA area and is employed as a Network Manager supporting the
Navy/Marine

Class of 1998
Andrew Veach is a Petty Officer 3rd class in the
U.S. Navy. He is deployed on the USS Bainbridge. He was
involved in the rescue of the Captain of the vessel highjacked by pirates in the
spring of 2009. His family is very proud of his service to his
country.
Spencer Tate is a member of the United States Army Infantry as a Sergeant in the security operations team. As of October 2007, Spencer is serving in the Iraq combat zone.
Christopher Stout has completed (12/06) his Army basic combat
training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina.
Class of 1999
Josh Wells received his Naval aviator wings at the Naval Air Station in
Milton, Florida. Lt. Wells will be flying the SH-60B helicopter.
Prior to his deployment, he was married in Jan. 2009. Josh and his wife,
Julia,
will be based in San Diego, California.
Michael Jordan is currently serving in the United States
Marine Corps. He is stationed in San Diego, California as an air traffic
controller. He is awaiting orders for overseas duty or possible
reassignment in the U.S. Request contact information from the Association.
Joshua D. Hunt has returned from serving with the U.S. Army in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom III. He would appreciate hearing from his former

Rod Studer is in the Marine Reserves. He is currently enrolled in college
working on a degree in Criminal Justice and is hoping to work in law
enforcement. .
Todd Carlile is in the Marine Reserves. He has served two tours
of duty in Iraq. He is hoping to return to school.
Drew Jacobson is in the Active Army National Guard. He
finished a degree in Economics at Purdue in 2004. He is currently studying
for an MBA.
Arren Miller is married to Jessa (Beaman) and in the Army National Guard. He was activated to help with Katrina relief.
Nate Gardner is in active duty with the Navy.
Class of 2000
Adam Prickel is serving in the Army and is preparing for his first tour
of duty in Iraq. He will be working in satellite communications and will
be broadcasting positive stories back to the U.S. showing the good that U.S.
servicemen are doing for the people of Iraq.
Class of 2001
James Beaty is an officer in the US Navy. He received his Naval Flight Officer wings in November 2007. He will be flying the E2C Hawkeye aircraft. He is stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.
Adam Sechrest is stationed in Lakenheath, England with
the United States Air Force. He can be reached at

Jonathan Brothers is a member of the Indiana National
Guard based in Indianapolis. He is an Image Analyst for Army Intelligence.
He is currently stationed in Kosovo.
Class of 2003
Chris Lamb has completed Air Force basic training and is now a Senior Airman with the 181st Fighter Wing in the Indiana Air National Guard. He is serving in Kyrgystan on an old Soviet Union base. He can be reached at airmanchrislamb@yahoo.com
Ryan Moss graduated from the Air Force Academy. He
is a second lieutenant and is stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton
Beach, Florida for further training.
Anthony Burkhart enlisted in the U.S. Army. He will
take basic and advanced training at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Jason Burge is currently a corporal in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. His assignments include physical security and military police duties. He can be reached at jason.burge@usmc.mil
Samuel Kissinger has completed his basic training for the Army National Guard.
Class of 2004
Craig Rayl has finished the Air Force Military
Security Forces Tech School. Craig is an E-2. He is stationed at F.
E. Warren AFB in Wyoming where he is providing security for the warehouses on

Brett Bobek has completed his Air Force Survival School and technical training
in Mississippi. He is now stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. He is
a Communication Technician. He is also going through flight training on
E-3 Aircraft.
Scott Wiedenhoeft has completed his basic training at the Naval
Training Center in Illinois. He is now continuing his training with the Navy
hoping to become a member of the submarine forces.
Class of 2005
Jenessa Amstutz graduated from Basic and AIT for the Indiana National
Guard. She is a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare Specialist. She
is currently stationed in Lafayette at the Headquarters Support Company 638
Aviation Support Battallion. She can be reached at

Kyle Williams has completed basic training with the Air Force.
Matthew Weiner has completed his Air Force Survival School and technical training
in Mississippi. He is now stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City.
He is a Radar Technician. He is also going through flight training on E-3
Aircraft.
Class of 2007
Andrew Grundy has been mobilized and activated from Fort Dix, New
Jersey, for a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Amanda Coffey has successfully completed Basic and A.I.T. for the Indiana
National Guard. She is a Logistics Specialist, in other words, supply.
Amanda is currently stationed in Lafayette at Alpha Company 638th aviation
